Let's just hope that the next Turbo S model year won't get the extra power as an optional powerkit. Smiley Smiley

I expect that the next Turbo S will make more power than this.  Isn't it supposed to add some hybrid and/or anti-lag technology (maybe 3rd electric turbocharger or other torque-fill from electric motor)?

I wasn't talking about the next gen Turbo and there won't be one until 2020...(earliest 2019 but unlikely).

Oh, yeah that makes sense.  $15k powerkit for 27hp costs Porsche almost nothing to add - might as well...

Even the Carrera S gets 30hp from its powerkit...

Oh, that gold paint, eventually they will release it to PTS, like the Sports Classic Grey to the 918s.

They will do a lock out on the paint, I forgot 3 or 5 years.

    Hey Nick,

What color will be your 2 new toys?  Trading in anything?  Don't think you have any garage space left.

LOL so many special models. Makes buyers of "regular" 911 like fools. The problem with these special editions is that they are not really better the regular ones.

232k gets you Huracan Performante with a V10 and AWD and for 55k less the Turbo S is only short of 27hp vs 260k for stickers and stitches Smiley

Smiley This means that it will be a collectible...good indication. Funny: It would have been easier to get a 911 R. Smiley

Already submitted my Porsche code PJI25PZ4 for the GT2 RS but I'm not sure I can afford this car. Just out of curiosity, I let my dealer draw up some numbers (lease, finance, buying), so I don't feel sorry afterwards.

Re: OFFICIAL: New 991.2 Turbo S Exclusive Series (2017)

This is why painted wheels, especially those not standard colours, cost so much, hand painted. These Exclusive Series wheels are especially time consuming.

Then there is the work that goes into making the carbon hood, the carbon roof probably same thing.

And then there is the process that makes all the plaques, quite unbelievable actually that they would go to such length just to make a little badge.

I agree, reaffirms my respect for Porsche as fully capable of meticulous artisan level detail.

All they needed for that car was make a proper sounding exhaust...

Re: OFFICIAL: New 991.2 Turbo S Exclusive Series (2017)

Much of the detail badge work is unnecessary. But it does create jobs.
