    Coming soon

Put my name on the list March 2005 and the car finished production 11/22 and now on to the last mile. shifting from 2nd to 3rd must be one awesome experience. Can't wait

    Re: Coming soon

Good choices! The car is clean, purposeful, and well suited for performance driving. Nothing really extraneous here--just good emphasis on performance.

    Re: Coming soon

Your name is silver rules and you ordered a white TT? Just messing with you. Congrats!

You should be ONVESL now...my GT3 is and my CMPPRD was a couple of days later than yours. Perhaps we are shipmates
San Diego to Niello is not that far.
You will have your car in DEC..perhaps by Christmas

    Re: Coming soon

Apart from the car's colour I wouldn't change a thing!

Agreed. PCCB, Diff lock, Adaptive Sport seats..... No painted plastic interior or handicapped parking helper...... Nice performance focused car. Do you have any pics of the rear apron? Here's some pics of a White/PCCB/Adaptive Sport seats turbo while you wait for your white beauty:

I think you are right. It will be a Awesome X-Mass. If I remember correctly we were on the vessel at the same time when we got the 997S back in 05. Have a great holiday and enjoy the GT3. I want one of those too

    Thanks Stradale for the pics.

Stradale, what's your hang up with the park assist option? My driveway and narrow garage door makes such a device mandatory, unless I hire a "swamper" to guide me back and forth. I guess I'll just have to get used to being called handicaped. And, if that qualifies me for a handicap parking sticker, I can live with it.

    Re: Coming soon

Great spec! You should have a real MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Can you imagine the rumpus that would erupt here on Rennteam if he called himself 'whiterules'? People would immediately link that to a racism issue even though it has nothing to do with it.

Nah. People are mature enough here to realize the difference. Now, if he had a nickname "christianityrules"...

    Re: Coming soon

What about "carrarawhiterules." That might not ruffle quite so many feathers.

Wow! that's nice. Be sure to get the 3M done on the side skirts/ rear apron as soon as humanly possible.

    Re: Coming soon

silver, I love your icon. I hope your car looks just like it:

white, -60mm, black wheels, pccbs. Sex on wheels

To be honest, I'm not sure what my hang-up w/ park assist is. I can tell you that I actually decided against buying Porsche's that were available just because they had park assist. Not sure why but I can't help but stare directly at the holes in the rear bumper anytime I see a 911 w/ it. It's weird I admit but just can't get passed it. OCD or whatever but it's like that lone paint chip smack dab in the middle of the hood that you just can't seem to look past. Dun no.

The part about needing it to park in your own driveway & garage I don't understand. It would be easy as pie to set up cones or boxes and spend 20 minutes practicing exactly how much distance/room you have. For me anyway there's reward that comes with correctly maneuvering my Porsche without electronic assistance. It really is a small car with a very good seating position, besides the eye sore of the holes parking sensors just seem so damn silly and unnessary and in my opinion gives the impression of a poser. Maybe it is just a stupid, macho pride thing but seriously, someone drives their Porsche hard enough to take advantage of an Axle-Diff lock, sport shifter and PCCB's but needs park-assist?????? On a large SUV that isn't positioned directly at performance driving I could understand but putting park-assist on a car that hopefully is an instrument to help you learn and master the art of performance driving it just seems so out of place and in a small way reduces the bad ass quality of the turbo. I mean placing sensors to help you park right under this huge retractable rear wing, in between the vents for the intercoolers and straight dab under where it says "turbo" and on the business end of a 911?

Besides all that above, imo you can be much more precise parking without park assist once you really know the boundaries by learning them in safety then by using park-assist.

Sorry didn't intend this to be one long Dennis Leary rant, just one guys crazy, minority opinion.
