    Vmax: limited to 250 km/h

    0-200-0 km/h in 22.1 secs.

    Nurburgring: 8.25 mins.
    Hockenheim: 1:16.9 mins.

    I understand what you mean, but i personally expected the XKR to do worse, i guessed 8:30

    Can't happen as long as Aston and Jag are both in Ford's Premier Automotive Group - per market pecking order. Now that Ford is planning to jettison Aston, expect future Jag's to be given freer reign on the styling/performance/ luxury and pricing .

    "Jettison"? That refers to the process of offloading unproductive ballast or hazardous excess weight from a ship, doesn't it?

    In which case, it's more a question of profitable AM jettisoning the hugely unprofitable Ford group.

    In the long view , Ford has to help the much larger Jaguar dealership network.

    Nice looking car btw.

    But why all ford group sporcarts cannot get a impressive performance datas while having much hp than their rivals.

    For example
    Carrera S is faster than AM Vantage although it has 30 less hp
    For example Range Rover Supercharge goes like same as Cayenne S
    Last example this car is not faster than Carrera S although it has +60hp

    But i always like Aston and Jag 's design but not their performances

    Yeah, that's true, but in the track the Aston and the 911 are equal, the Aston was faster than the 997 S in The Ring...but I'm disapointed with Jag's performance...420 bhp, supercharged...it should do 0-60 in 4.5s and a lap in the ring in under 8 min...well, let's wait and see with Jag will really do the XKR-R...500 bhp

    The Aston had semi-slick tyres and the 911, tested with LSD did it in 7:59. It's still very impressive for an Aston.

    The trick of using semi-slick tires really paid out for Aston, there is a lot of people that still think the Aston is faster induced by just looking at the lap numbers. There is a lot of people that are under the impression that the AMV8 ccan outhandle the 997 or out lap it at the track...

    As to the XKR, personally I'd take the AMV8 any day.
