    Congrats.

Is the lack of red stitching throughout on door panels/pulls and shifter/handbrake intentional?

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

    Congrats!

You can get the door panels in deviating stitching BUT there is no option code for the shifter/handbrake so this always stays the basic silver. At first I wanted red stitching as well but when I found out the shifter/brake was not possible I preferred to keep it all the same in the basic silver which also looks nice.

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

According to Larry (Over The Hill), he managed to get the deviated stitching ordered for the gear shifter/handbrake portion. I'm not sure what the option code was but he managed to make it happen.

That would be GREAT ! My dealer says "not possible" , maybe Over The Hill Larry could post the code here . I can still make changes to my order. If everything can be had in red I am going for it !

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

This is what I found from that other thread where he listed all his options:

09991 All Excluding Options Stitching in Deviated Color
24891 Stitching F/R Seats in Deviated Color
24901 Dashboard Stitching in Deviated Color
24902 Door Stitching in Diviated Color
24903 Door Handle (Finisher) Stitching in Deviated Color
24904 Deviated Stitching Side Center Console
24905 Rear Side Panel Deviated Stitching

Maybe "09991" is what covers the gear shift/handbrake. Try sending him a private message.

Thanks Jason , I'll do that.

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

what's the price for ordering everything in devating stiching come out to?

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

Around $3k for the entire deviated stitching.

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

    Hey 997 Turbo,
That seems like the Porsche centrum zuid, doesn't it? I mean the one near Best? I have worked in Best for half a year, and loved driving by that dealership... They had some nice 356's too. Now I work in Dordrecht... too few porsches over there What a great car!!! Gefeliciteerd gozert!

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

Many congrats but please delete the pic with your chassis no. That's not safe!!

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

WHICH OPTION I MUST CHOOSE FOR HAVING THE RED SEAM?

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

Thanx, top bedankt voor je bericht.

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

Thanx a lot for your tip, of the chassis nr.

Re: Our new 997 TT after 4 month. waiting. (holland)

Why is there a fan under the navigation system? When did Porsche start that? Don't they know if you need a fan, then it is poor electronics design? Fans are tacky tacky tacky. Plus they fail all the time. Never did I think Porsche would do that.

This "fan" is only on the German Turbos I think. The DVD drive in US Turbos are down low by the CD changer. No fan there. I actually would have preferred the hidden location because it wouldn't take up as much space in the storage compartment that way.

Maybe the location of the Nav DVD depends whether the car is equipped with the CD changer or not.
It clearly has no bearing whether the car is US bound or not as Polo's car has the system in the same location as yours.
