    Alfa 8C competizione-CandD says it will use shortened...

    version of upcoming maserati coupes platform.

    Some were disappointed thinking that it would use the old maserati platform but this seems to be new to me, the fact that it will use the new one.
    Thats a good thing right?
    How much you think this will cost in the US considering i red it is 100k pounds in UK.

    I'm really intersted inthis car an i will go and have a look at it as fast it is avaiable. The dealer told me it's a new body and it has nothing to do with the old maseratis coupè. it will be much lighter and use carbonfiber , and it will also use the new maserati v8 with 450 hp.
    So the car is going to be a really sport car and not only a beauty.
    w'll see soon !!!!!!

    all 500 are all sould out , and their market price is al least the double now and they havent even start delivering it

    Maybe in Europe they're sold out, but no dealer seems to have a clue here in the USA.

    yes, it is the first model alfa is bringing to the US, at least thats what I read somewhere. They will follow it with other models like brera and so on.
    Will it be available in the US anyway?

    I am no "insider" but they had in the first day at the Paris Motorshow 200 orders and 1000 orders in total...
    the first american 8C are suposed to be delivered end 2008, the car is mindbloing , i have seen on the Geneve autoshow , for me is one of the best designs of all time.

    I read that a lot a american costumers were among the lucky 500 future owners, including one Mr P4/P5 , if you know what i mean hope i am teling no lie but thats what i have read...

    uhmm... where will the front numberplate go? Maybe this is not really important to people who live in countries that do not require you to place huge front numberplates on your ride, but ie in Germany it actually does matter.

    The December Automobile magazine has a nice article on this. They say 100 examples headed to the US with pricing around $200K. A convertible version is featured, decision not yet final as to whether or not it will make it to production. As usual, I prefer the look of the hard top.
