Throt, thanks! I am told they are showing a GT3 in a very private showing at the Porsche Experience Center in LA to day and tomorrow. I am trying to get up there today. Hopefully it will be in the same color.
Also, debating painted the GT3 script GR or replacing it with a Porsche color crest.

I can't help it, if I see a pin stripe on wheels (or anywhere on a car for that matter), I think of this:
1992 Mercedes-Benz W124 500E / 2003 BMW M3 CSL (sold) / 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 RS / 2014 BMW-Alpina D3 biturbo Touring / 2014 BMW-Alpina B3 biturbo Touring Allrad
being 10-12 yrs old during the mid 1960s when I was becoming a budding car nut , red striping around the rolling stock as shown by the .2GT3 wheel option rouses only one rather negative car-related memory for me :
a) 991 Carrera GTS " Club Coupe " : painted Club Blau
( orig owner ; PCA 60th Anniv Club Coupe Registry ; 1 of 60 )
b) Carrera 4 Cabriolet : triple blue
( surf to snow road warrior )
SciFrog:That looks much better than all black wheels. That said I prefer dark grey ones in this case.
Not a fan of the red outer ring, looks like putting a bright colored lipstick on an already perfect look. Too stylish for a sporty look, sorry.

Kobalt:Black rims always look too black on pictures.
Exactly. Very difficult to capture black rims or whole cars in photos.

What you see is how it looked. I took the picture. Many were commenting that the black wheels need the pin stripe. It only works if the stripe is the same color as the exterior color.

As long as you have your priorities. Geez. Why can't people who love Porsches and know how to signal get an allocation?
this is not like a car discussion. With Nick it always sounds like my wife talking about hair and makeup. How do I look? Does this color make me look fat?

Hate to tell you what you sound like. Why dont you stop repeatedly trying to provoke nick, cant you see he has decided to ignore you (which shows a lot more class and smarts) ? You want to talk about the gt3? Fine, but drop the constant jabs at nick. Time to move on, nobody here cares or wants to hear it.

Leawood911:Forgot that it is not allowed to voice any opposing opinions or comments you don't like. Lol. You guys seriously need to evaluate the color of tire stripes so let me move out of your way.
But the discussion of the color of the wheel stripe goes so well with the superiority of the automatic transmission...
watt:does anyone have their GT3 yet?
Very unlikely. First customer cars started to move out this month. In Germany.

Gauss:At least two have been delivered and posted in a german forum.
Not here though... We have mostly non-German users.
I assume first cars will make it to US customers around late summer (Sept.?).

Btw: That RIEPL1 car belongs to a car dealer in Austria. He sells many exotics as well.
The other guy also seems to be somehow related to a supplier of Porsche, so definitely not your regular customers.
