Hi Watt. Finally caught up on your posts what and adventure you are having!
Just a few corrections (but I accept off topic). Both my and Richards car are on 3rd engine (if you account the original recall). Both cars were manufactured in Nov 2013 so we are the first delivery owners of these cars in NZ. Both cars replacement engines were E series and both failed shortly within each other (mileage and use) a few weeks ago and were replaced by G engines. I cannot tell the difference between the engines other than the G engine uses much less oil. It has a number if internal improvements (essentially it is the RS MA176 engine other than capacity increase alterations and crankshaft). Only time will tell but while Porsche keep supplying me compensation and new 9000 rpm engines I will continue to run them to redline as often on the track as I can LOL!
Also to save my pride only my GT3 was officially faster on 3 out of 4 of the tracks we ran by roughly around 1s per minute of track. The same applies for Hamptons. The exception was Highlands with the "bus stop" the fastest straight was 185 kmph compared with say Teretonga which was 237 kmph in the GT3. That plus the flip flop mid mid field slow complex worked in favour of the GT4 for sure and it was a second faster here. The GT4 has needed alot of negative camber for tyre wear, the GT3 is stock. Leong is an exceptional driver however and very good on 2 wheels too! Richards car was on MPSS tyres that had already done 8000km in the SI during the 2014 SI targa....
Enjoy the drives & scenery and see you in Malibu :-)
