Porsche should GET THE WING MESSAGE.
Design the wing so the owner can remove it and by doing so have some conditions in the PCM software that he's gotta agree to (like what's already in the nav system) that sez something like he won't do over 140 mph since the aerodynamics are supposedly compromised.
Maybe they should just get the freeking message and put retractible wings on ALL cars that would work for the particular car.
Jeez: do wings reeeeally sell these cars? The 997TT wing makes me shy away from my plans to buy one.
stuuuuuuupid things! The fact that they are so heavily stylized is the joke!
If they were purely functional they'd be perfect for track use and would work better (make the car even "safer"). A squarish, airplane-ish wing will do a better job.
They should take a poll and find out how many new owners are "thrilled" that their new high-perf P-car has a freak-a-zoid wing appendage glued to its a**.
