Is the 997 GT3 $50k better than the 996 GT3?
I asked this question over on 6speed, and got some interesting replies, so I thought I would post it here, too.
With 996 GT3 prices slumping as the 997 model gets closer and closer, it looks like close to a $50k premium to get a new 997 vs a 996.
997 GT3 with a few options, after taxes, etc should come close to $115k, right? And that assumes no PCCB.
I am thinking 996 GT3 prices will head into the low mid $70's before too long. They are already dipping into the upper $70's now. So say $75k after taxes.
Okay, that is closer to a $40k difference, but if you add PCCB to your 997, you are back to a $50k spread.
Wow. That is a heck of a premium. You do get a new car with a new warranty and better abilities. But is that worth +$50k?
Opinions?
