It is important to note that the GT was NOT a Ford car but car provided by a GT owner. The guy actually owns two. The first had to be replaced by the second when the power train of the first GT broke down during the AMS test...

wow..the ferrari 599 is a seriously quick car throughout the speed range. i think the tt does well relative to it's price and performance in contrast with seriously more expensive cars. as to the z06 it's a toss up. obviously the z06 is a tremendous value....i'm just not a corvette person.

The Ferrari 599 values are a TYPO. AMS took the Mercedes SLR numbers for the 599 and vice versa.

A little birdie told me...only the Vmax is correct.
Of course nothing is 100% in life, so my info may be incorrect but then...the 10.3 seconds would be a little bit surprising...this is Carrera GT territory.
As much as I do believe in wonders...the 599 still weights 1750 kg or so (real weight, not Ferrari claimed weight).
Btw: Ferrari accompanied the 599 with a factory maintentance team for this comparison...a little bit odd in my opinion. In the last AMS, the 599 did 0-200 kph in 11.2 seconds, which is more likely to be close to the truth.
Ferrari always seems to achieve fantastic performance figures in reviews but surprisingly, every time I meet a Ferrari F430 on the street, either my car is running pretty well or...
We can do a comparison next year if you decide to go for the 599. It will be pretty interesting since I may have access to a tuned 997 Turbo with 550 HP or so.

You can tell your birdy that it is wrong (this time...) . I can verify a result close to 30s based on my own test drive...
The 599 is about 10 seconds faster to 300 than all the 500hp cars (997TT, Z06, Gallardo, F430). Also, the LP640 has a very similar acceleration as the 599GTB which is no wonder as it has nearly the same engine output.
The AMS results does make perfect sense to me (of course 1 or 2 seconds more or less are always possible, depending on the test conditions - however, the 30s range can be veryfied by three independant sources by now)

I just went to compare some of my times off of my Passport GT2 timer. My 0-60 runs go from 3.3-3.6 and my 0-120 are from 10.25-10.4. That's a seriously slow Z06 or they don't know how to drive it.
What is seriously amazing is the Bugatti does 0-300 in less than half of the time of the Z06 and TT.

355, I don't have much faith in those G-tech thingies. AMS did the test right (look at the Z06, beats the Turbo by about 2 seconds from 100 to 250 km/h). It just lacks top-end, I guess (if you can call 41 seconds to 300 km/h "lacking" ).
