    Pictures of first Northwestern USA 997TT meet

    A few Rennteamers decided to get together on a beautiful crispy cold morning for our first 997TT meet. We even had a few come down from Vancouver BC too. We even had our first tech session too thanks to 997CarreraS. How to remove the headlights. Some pictures below:

    I then went on a drive with Mogen to meet a group of other Porsche drivers down South before coming back up. There were quite a few nice surprises:

    Jason - great pics - thanks for arranging the meet - it was great to meet all the other Porsche owners - if I had to vote for the best pic, it would be the moving shot of the yellow GT2 and RS - belongs in a magazine.

    very nice as usual jason....bet it was extra hard not having your tt yet...i hope those beaters at the ends of the group were tt related... looks like a great time.... do the lights come out relatively easily ? then do the phillips lamps clip right in ?... thanks

    Yes mine is atlas, It was intersting seeing a midnight blue, black and atlas cars all there. In the Shade it is very hard to tell the difference, But as soon as it gets sunny you can easily tell. My Last Car was black, but as people say black is a hobby not a color

    There's a special tool in the toolbox under the floor mat in the front trunk that you use to pop the headlights out. You stick it in a hole to the side of the headlights under a rubber grommet and the headlight unit pops right out. I was amazed how easy it was! According to Rich, the Philips bulbs is easy to get to. Just have to unscrew the back cover of the headlight unit and then take the stock bulb out and swap them.

    I'm definitely anxious about my turbo arriving soon.

    I don't know what that is but that's a 300 hp Ariel Atom.

    Comes November we'll have to do another meet with 5 997TTs all in different colors.

    If I posted the high res version then everyone would "steal" them claiming them as their own.

    W211: No prob, always happy to help anyone out. Even those who happens to have a Turbo!!! And yes, we'll have to do another photoshoot with 5 cars! Maybe there'll be more by then! There's got to be more 997TT owners in the area that posts on here.

    Thanks Jason for the pics, it was really nice to meet up with other TT owners. Somehow other than Porsche's own launch parties, I don't think there is a bigger gathering of TT cars yet, even dealers aren't getting more than 2 cars at a time in the dealership.

    Thanks everyone for the compliments on my pictures! Since I didn't have my car yet, what could I do but take those pictures, right?

    My Turbo is apparently part of the QC hold that's affecting all the P-cars in the ports right now so hopefully mine will be released sometime in the near future. I am getting pretty anxious!

    On another matter, I've chosen a new set of wheels for my car. I won't reveal what they are just yet but stay tuned on that. A clue, they're custom made for every car.

    I used a Nikon D2X with a 10.5mm fisheye, 105mm VR and 17-35mm lenses. Karmann used a 28-200mm lenses for the group shot.

    I've had similar experiences (screams and squeals) with the photographer as well. But he got even with me when I let him drive my car through the mountains yesterday. SCARY!

    BTW, when he finally gets his car (it might be a blessing that it's delayed) the highway patrol will have to issue an APB to clear all roads for a very high speed break in procedure. May God help us all.
