    Some kind of record even for a Koenigsegg?

    The first Koenigsegg CCX was sold in Sweden on thursday to allegedly Stefan Bengtsson, one of the heirs of H&M clothing company. 18 hours later it was involved in an accident that also involved a garbage collecting truck... Damages to the bodywork and suspension (it weered off into a field apparently.

    so far only in Swedish and pictures only as thumbnail on the web (see below the picture of the owner). Ful pictures available in today's physical paper. They'll probably make their way to the internet eventually...

    It's not the first time Koenigseggs end up in the news. I sometimes wonder if they are worth the price. Sure, their power is out of this world. But it looks like its handling is tricky. The Mc Laren F1 did not seem to have such a high accident rate.

    How woul you want such a young company to simply be ahead in car egineering? Getting 800+ horsepower doesn't seem that hard for so many tuners. The complexity is probably somewhere else, inf such fields as handling and braking. Of the images we saw on the internet, the car doesn't seem to have a sane behaviour...

    What's even more interesting is that this is the same car I posted a while ago that ended up in the gravel the first time the owner tested it on a track.

    After the owner drove it into the gravel and later challenged norwgian WRC driver Henning Solberg to a 100 000 USD "who is fastest" challenge, the norwegian Koenigsegg dealer made him return the vehicle because of all the bad press. (Koenigsegg already had a bad rap in Norway because they refused the most popular carshow on norwegian tv a highspeed testrun on an airstrip because the runway was wet)

    And the car was then sold to Stefan Bengtsson, who crashed it after a week - GO KOENIGSEGG!!

    Makes me sick,but this happens when the HP is 10x larger than the IQ.



    Fridays I saw at the P-delaer a pretty badly crashed F360 Spider, turns out that the owner after crashing the Spider, crashed his 996TT a couple days fater. The 996TT was sitting next to the Spider. Young owner who ran into a lot of money suddently, and I don't want to get into on how...

    And a testdriver named Louis Anselmi lost control of it the previous week at Koenigsegg test track ...

    3 "crashes" with the same car. For that kind of price at least you gotta give credit to the build quality...

    Are there really laws in Norway that allows a dealer to force the return of a vehicle that someone purchased?

    I think they should invest a little more and make the car with traction control.

    Last I heard they were planning to do so, as well as demanding a mandatory driving course..

    No, they "agreed" that it would be best if he returned the vehicle. To his credit, the previous owner seems like a nice guy and probably realised that this car was a bit too much for him...
