    I made a big mistake today!


    I visited my local Porsche dealer and test drove a new C4.
    I'm afraid I'm hooked!
    Going back on saturday to show the "boss" why this is a good idea for us to join the happy group of Porsche owners.
    Will keep you posted.

    Unless your PDX location is in the acrtic circle..., why the C4? There's less trunk space for the wife' beauty gear. No hope of carrying an "optional" spare tire. It's only faster than the C2 when the TRACK is wet.

    Just talking..., no big deal.

    If your current vehicle(s) do not have heated seats, take her for a ride in a P-car that has them and turn her side on. I've never met a female who doesn't like heated seats.
    Of course I live and drive alone so what the Hell do I know?

    I still think awd factor in wet is over blown. I was at Summit Point, WV last month. It rained the first day, and my brother-in-law's Subaru WRX STI spinned out 180 degree and hit the tires wall. Luckily the damage was minor. I think 4wd give people false confidence that they will over drive themselves in the rain when the track is very slippery.

    I made that mistake in 1974. I have suffered for it ever since. Here I am, quietly depositing many welfare checks and hoping they never discover where those funds are being diverted...

    The biggest mistake of your life,--is to EVER drive a Porsche. Your life will never be the same again. (or your bank balances).

    Agree 100%. GOTTA have heated seats if you happen to have a choice in the deal.

    Don, maybe you should try turning down the passenger seat heating to the lower temperature setting!

    Thanks guys for the encouragement, I think she will like it a lot, I will keep you posted.
    I drove a C4 and really liked it, but with the options I am considering it is only 5K less than a 4S speced the way I want. LOgic says go the extra 5K, but my bank balance may overrule my logic at this point!
