    Basically, 1559kg is just a bit lighter than the 997TT. And the R8 has similar technology (including AWD and an even larger engine)

    Hmm... I will try to understand but, actually I do not. Lamborghini is owned by Audi. Are you really think that Audi will destroy Gallardo with R8 faster and stronger then it?! This will never happen in real world but, V10 version will be very fast indeed(more or less same specs as current Gallardo)... V10 Bi-turbo with 610hp? Test mule already exist but, 3.5s 0-100km/h, 350km/h and what will happened with Gallardo and 997 Turbo? They can go to hell...
    We will see...

    In the mean time-optional bucket seats!

    Buckets look fantastic, as the global interior quality.

    This car is really fresh. It's a pitty (as far as I know), that ceramic brakes will not be available until next year ...then, maybe is worth it ("maybe") waiting until the R10 ...but this will be hard!

    One very funny thing. On most Audi forums people are very dissapointed with R8 performance! They expected(and claimed!!) 440hp and 1400kg!!! Well, AWD, V8, B&O sound system and they dreamed about 1400kg!?
    I am actually very pleased and excited about R8(with 4.2L V8)! Next spring I will have R8 in my garage... And those dreamers? They will continue to wait(until 2028) for R20 and 999 TRI-turbo...

    I like R8 a lot! It is quite heavy, but R8 has a lot of equipment, which incrase weight. But still 4.6 sec from 0 - 100 km/h is great result; and design is perfect...

    It is nice to see that clima buttons and steering wheel are same as in new TT, so I will have a little feeling that I am driving R8

    Kreso, yours will be manual or R-tronic ? Anyway, your choice is great If I would looking for a car in this range, I would 99% chose that one

    Mine will be R-Tronic! Why? Well, F430 is natural with F1, Gallardo(520hp) with e.gear and R-Tronic is more refined version of e.gear so, it was an easy choice.
    We could now start the debate about S-Tronic(DSG) or PDK but, my opinion(and NOT only mine!) is that all DSG gearboxes are very close in feeling to automatic gearbox. That is the reason that we will not see DSG type gearbox in R8(or F430,599GTB, Gallardo, Murci, Aston V8 Vantage or M6! All of them are best with sequential manual gearboxes!)...

    C'mon! As far as I know you, you will be the first to order a R20 and the 999 triturbo as well!

    So true! DSG/PDK is a nice substitue for an automatic tranny, but F1/e-gear/R-tronic is the future of the manual transmission.

    Let me think here, Lambo 70000 dollars more in US and limited dealerships for service or R8 with performance very close and many dealerships. Seems like a no brainer to me!

    Ok, my 997TT isn't build yet but I already know what his replacement will be If the R8's performace would have been the same as the 997TT then I would have cancelled my order.
    I suppose we'll wait for the upcoming R10 (Turbo?) for now
