    So no chance V10 available from start?
    guys on audiworld saying its 3400lbs, thats heavier then i thought...

    gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!!! amazing design, and a big lesson to porsche and bmw design center!! well done! and boy , 4.6sec and 300kph from the v8 is great.
    kreso! is this rtronic a kind of dsg or a standard tip?

    R-Tronic is pure sequential manual gearbox. As I said already 100 times there will not be S-Tronic(DSG) in R8 or in fact in any R or RS Audi!
    Yes, V10 version with 510hp will come in 12-14 months. It will be available only with R-Tronic.
    Track times will be very close to Gallardo's(MY2006,520hp) but, Gallardo is still faster!
    Point here is little bit different-this car competitor is 997 Carrera S, Aston Martin V8 Vantage etc.
    Audi is not competing against F430, Gallardo or 997 Turbo!
    But, I know what I am talking about when saying that this R8 is truly excellent car!

    We have still to see much more, but, from the first figures, the R8 has stated new standards in the "997s" segment. I'd really love they could develop (maybe they already did) new standards in the F430 and 997T segment, meanwhile increasing the performance of the Gallardo.

    Very interesting, I can't wait to know more, to test a unit, even purchasing one (it depends a lot on the weight, final looks, interior and equippement)....maybe it's worth changing from a 997S to a R8, but, in principle, I personally expected a bit more....still have to make an oppinion (mainly because I think that the central engine will give a superb handling)

    No, actually R8(V8) will be very close to Gallardo's track times! But, at then same time as Audi introduces V10 Gallardo will get FSI version of its V10 with around 550hp and even more refined chassis!
    Guys, Audi is owning Lamborghini and Gallardo will always be a top of R8!
    But, that does not make R8 a less a true sports car IMHO!

    kreso, is it confirmed that the G will have the 550hp upgrade and direct injection? if yes, when?

    you just made me a big favor kreso! i was in the process of exchanging my current G with a brand new SE ,one of the last SE available in germany,in yellow.deal was almost done... direct injection, 550hp and a more refined chassis, and maybe a better egear definetly woth to wait only 1 year! and it also worth loosing the SE gorgeous two tone design.... thanks and thanks again

    If Lambo sorts out the gearing (it is horrendous in the current G), the 550 bhp version is going to pretty much be the sports car king - which is good for both F and P effort.

    What an amazing car this is!!!

    I am in love with the design, wheels, exterior , interior and even with the performance of the "normal' v8.....BUT!!!

    Is there any soundclips of the engine???, will it sound something similar as the Gallardo???....I hope it has a unique and very sporty sound...

    WHAT WILL BE THE PRICE ????, FOR THE NORMAL V8 I MEAN
