well, its a tricky one. surely the cgt is in a different league when it comes to perceived value and exclusivity.
a good friend of mine has just taken delivery of his f430 two weeks ago. driveability and performance are mind numbing. however, craftmanship and quality control are certainly on a par with fiat.
on a personal note, i feel that ferraris are way too flashy. the right tool for poseurs. the attract too much attention.
porsches are much more subtle (some say boring) which i prefer as they deliver in the right departments and dont have that screaming 'i am here' attitude.
one big letdown on the cgt is that its manual. should definitely have had dsg.
its a strange comparison, f430 and cgt. they play in different leagues. i assume that somebody seriously considering a cgt would already have one or two fcars in his garage......

Very, very accurate words....real class is not "flashy"....

I think your doubt should be between the Carrera GT and another car, not the 430, because the differences between them are not just the higher image that the GT is having over the 430 but also the huge difference in price, power, and perceived image..... if you don't have money enough for a GT get the Ferrari but if money it is no object... I think it is obvious that the CAR is the Carrera. Now if you make the question again as Carrera GT against Enzo or Pagani Zonda or McLaren SLR, or a Koenigsseg.... that it will be something to talk about.....
