    Re: Urus (SUV)

Diesel must depreciate less given the much lower price point. Here is a 300K Euro MSRP car asking 225K. All the W12s have depreciated massively, naturally the diesel will depreciate less because it's way cheaper.

Here's another, 35K under MSRP before negotiation, so really 45-50K under MSRP since 10K is pretty much where anyone would expect to get.

    Re: Urus (SUV)

First car had an accident, second car is accident free (according to previous owner Smiley) but the price difference isn't really that big for such a car (new list Smiley price was 253k EUR, asking price is 219k EUR. The color isn't that great and I do not know what options Bentayga customers usually want on these cars, so maybe this one is lacking something.

Like I said before: The Bentayga is selling well but if you think it doesn't, maybe wishful thinking on your part?! Smiley

    Re: Urus (SUV)

The Bentayga is a super hit and there's no such thing as a "good deal" on the market for low mileage cars. The look and feel of the car are a matter of a personal opinion, of course. I am not a fan but it has presence. The major turnoff for advanced customers however is that there's no option for carbon-ceramic breaks. A  EUR 280K 2.4 ton 600 hp SUV without CCB's doesn't sound right.

The fact that the once considered vulgar Cayenne is becoming the upper-plebs SUV in the company of the new 250K+ Bentayga and Urus is telling a lot about the times that we are living in. The big loser will be Range Rover. Their engineering incompetence and poor quality will now become obvious even to their clients who only care about the looks and the brand.

    Re: Urus (SUV)

Maybe I got lucky but my RRS has had less issue that all my Porsche SUVs... and the interior of the RRS autobiography has nothing to envy to a fully loaded Macan.

Depends where and what you consider a good deal. As I said, easy to find them $50K under sticker in the US, some even more. Depends on what spec you want.

    Re: Urus (SUV)

New RR Velar has a fanastic interior. Would take one over a Cayenne or Bentayga any day. Bentayga and Cayenne look so dated inside. Exterior is much sleeker and modern as well.

The Bentayga and the Q7 don't look alike at all (not even a hint...), so... Smiley Smiley

Saw only one single Bentayga in Germany...in Munich, at my Lamborghini dealership.

Saw another one in Miami a few weeks ago.

Same platform which makes it the same size and general shape. They look a LOT more alike than either of them vs a RR, GLE/GLS or X5...

    Re: Urus (SUV)

Q7 and Bentayga not look alike? Come on. They look very much alike at a glance. How could they not.

Of all the VW Touareg clones, the Cayenne probable hides the lineage best.

    Re: Urus (SUV)

You mean Q7 clones...now that Audi took over SUV development...

Also, in the past we had Cayenne clones... 😉

I see tons of Q7 each day, saw a Bentayga only twice but there was not the slightest possibility to mistake them for a Q7. Actually, the Bentayga reminds me somehow more of a first gen Cayenne.

Bentayga is supposed to attract a certain customer group. The current Cayenne has nothing to do with the Bentayga or Q7, it uses the old platform. The next gen Cayenne gets the Panamera interior with some minor adaptations specific to the Cayenne.

Bentayga and Q7 have exactly the same proportions . If you do not look at the details, but just take the general shape, they look alike . From a certain distance I can not avoid seing the Q7 in the Bentayga .

I do not see how someone can mix up a Q7 and Bentayga. Yes, they have similar proportions but that is all.

Noone1, have you ever sit inside a Bentayga? The interior and entertainment is very exclusive and tasteful.

The interior is for old people IMO. Modern style escapes it completely. $250K SUV gets the cheap dash from the Q7 and not even the virtual cockpit from the A4. It strikes me as an interior for people who think wearing long pants and a collar shirt in 35C weather makes sense.

Bentayga doesn't look like a Q7 from the outside because Bentley stuck its tacky grills and lights all over it. Though yeah, we know it's a Q7 because we're enthusiasts.

No one said that they mix them up . Just that you can easily see the Q7 in the Benrayga .

Same proportions . Same silhouette .  If you flatten all the extra creases on the Bentayga you get the Q7 .

But they are different cars , yes .

A Beetle does not have the same proportions as a 911 , not at all . On the other hand the Q7 and the Bent do . Smiley

    Re: Urus (SUV)

On Betayga v Q7, certainly looks like A, B pillars identical and that glass in both front and rear doors  appears identical, albeit there are obvious differences in rear sidelight treatment. Also seems that the Wheel base seems same. Bentley  is wider but that is prob more track and wheel arches. And Bent is longer which is in the over hangs. All of which I find slightly strange actually as I had thought that the point of the modular structure was that one could actually vary wheel base, length and width, etc, but they don't seem to be doing it. Let's see re Cayenne, hopefully it comes out slightly smaller than the Q7....

The damn thing doesn't look good, period. No color can make the the car looks less than bad.

The only way to make it look better is to drop it in a car crusher.
