    Some very unique brake calipers?

    Never seen these before, anyone care to shed some light on this design?

    These are two-sliding calipers, dimensions 390mm x36mm,
    they are used for the second time in the world(first was new S65).

    How does it compare to the SL55, performance-wise (straight-line and cornering)?

    I hope the build quality is better than my CL55... lots of electronic niggles and air-con issues.

    Seeing as how this new generation is loaded with all sorts of driver assist gizmos, it may take awhile to get it all sorted out.

    Don't they use them in the Maybach also?

    Thanks - I really like the look of this car. If one is looking for a stylish 2 door cruiser, this is a good possibility.

    I saw some spy photos some time ago and didn't like it but when you see the proper photos, I think it's a different story.

    AFAIK, no one's driven CL63 yet...and no one has measured '07 SL55 w/PP or SL65 in straight-line/N-ring/Hoch, despite '07 engine tweaks, paddleshifters, and new ABC 2.0 and 10% tighter steering ratio vs '06....

    Have '07 SL65 and would subjectively comment that steering/handling feel is notably sharper than '06....and in bumpy twisties, 65's damping is more confidence inspiring than my 997TT's....

    Currently have/have had new copies of '07 S550 and SL65 (and have several colleagues who buy 1-2 new 65(s) every yr for daily commuting) and have found quality/reliability of the myriad of technologies to be flawless ....and quality of interior materials/fit&finish, etc to be superb ....planning to get early copy of CL550/600 this Fall to keep me occupied until much-awaited 63 arrives in US in mid-07...and 65 in Fall07....need to get a 63/65 to have a GT car w/o turbo lag; w/an enthralling exhaust note; and w/paddleshifters, since my 997TT doesn't offer these latest-tech sports/GT car features (even as a P-priced option)....
