Sat Radio in the Turbo

I had the dealer install the Cayenne Sat Radio in my Turbo this week. Sounds great. I went with Sirius. Just thought Iwould share a couple shots of how it looks. I have to pass through two tunnels on the way to work every day. Works for about 7 seconds into the tunel and then turns off until you pop out on the othe side.

What is that black piece to the left of your PCM?

Very Cool.....can you share how much? What is the black sensor to the left of the console?

I have a Escort Laser / Radar remote install. That button Mutes the Audable noise when it detects radar

i will get the the sat radio as well, i was reading one post and i was wondering if you experience any sort of turbo lag with your 997, or did they correct most of it with the VTG?

Are all dealers now selling the sat mod? I heard that PAG restricted installs on Carreras.

Looks great...Barrier put one in my Cayenne Turbo and I am thinking about doing the same in my C4S when it arrives. One question...which input turns on the SAT mode...the Cayenne has a button for SAT.

I had heard the same thing too...I guess not if Rich was able to get it installed in his.

When you press the AM/FM button it not only cycles through those two but also to the SAT radio. In regard to getting parts to put in a 997. At this point thre is no restriction. Any dealer can do it. Its is sraightforward with only a MOST , Power and antenna hookup. Then you need to find somewhere to put the unit. We put it in front of the truck area behind the carpet.
