    Altas Grey vs. Pure (not basalt) Black Exterior?

    Car will have natural grey interior with carbon accents and PCCBs.

    Opinions please!!

    I have the strangest feeling you know me, and if you do this is not news, but I am quite insane about this choice... I think about it more than is rational by a factor of 10. In fact, if possible there is still an outside chance I switch completely back to slate grey / natural brown...

    I guess I need real problems.

    I had the same agonizing thought process and decided on black with frequent dates with my detailer. The TT just looks so amazing in black (when clean)

    I just like plain black better. I find Basalt a little too much like dirty black. This is why Basalt is MUCH better if you can't keep your cars too clean, but I think I can manage it. I do think Basalt goes nicely if you have a brown interior. Obviously a ton of personal preference here.

    Atlas is confused with black quite often, and you get to enjoy an occasional grey look, a navyish blue look, and more depending on lighting.

    To most, they will simply assume it is black.

    What a color!!!!

    Owning a 4S cab with Atlas/gray interior combo and blue top, I can tell you it is the best looking combo I have ever seen in any car period, except may be a slate gray f430 with red stitching black leather... I am not biased though...:-)

    Atlas is a beautiful, complex, and rich color, while black, which is classic and always stunning, is, well, black.

    You can't go wrong with either choice, but I think black would be a mistake.

    I've had four solid black cars, and like you i don't like the dirty brown tinge in sunlight of Basalt. I rejected my last car at dleivery due to poor prep and ended up buying an atlas car - WOW. Looks black in winter, blueish in summer, and somewhere in between the rest of the time. There have been very few occassions where i'd consider it'boring grey'

    Go with atlas. It's a unique color wich I learnt to love.

    Does Atlas show dust or it blends in with the light particles? How do you keep it dust free? Do you have to dust off every day or so?

    I love atlas, but keeping darker colors at their best takes extra effort. I presently have blue and I am sick of worrying about marks and chips. If I had the choice I might go with white or silver. If it was between black or atlas, I would take the atlas.
