I have the coolest wife ever!

Hey everybody. I've been hangin around here for a while, but this is my first post, and it comes with some really good news! I am the proud owner of an 06 997S given to me by my wife for my birthday. Needless to say, I have the coolest wife ever! I was in Italy on business for two weeks and upon my return there was a Black on Black shiny new porsche in front of the house! At first I thought it was some kind of joke, or mabey the neighbor (the drummer for the doors) had a new car. But no, this baby is mine! My wife had obviously been listening to my porsche ranting an raving that I have been annoying her with for years. She got all the options I wanted and none that I didn't. Here's the list:

BOSE
Sport chrono
X51
Nav
Short shift
Other small stuff

She even said that she didn't load it up too much beacuse weight is the enemy of speed! How cool is that? Only options that make it faster and turn better! No PCCB's thought because she thought the yellow calipers were weird looking, and liked those "red ones" Ha Ha.

Also, a quick question. I'm installing some FVD spacers tomorrow, and I was wondering if anyone new the torque specs for the wheel studs?

thanks gian61. Where abouts in Italy do you live? I'm there a lot, and the car I have over there is a boring 330d. I would love to go for a high speed ride in a poesche on the Autostrada! I'm usually in Rome, but last time I was there, I did 6000 km's worth of driving in two weeks, so I'm around all over italy!

Another question for all of you knowledgeable rennteam members. I just got a friendly warning from the Santa barbara county sheriffs department reguarding the lack of a front license plate (they're a little bored in Montecito, but very friendly!). I recall seeing somewhere on this forum a post about a company that makes a license plate bracket that mounts in the tow hook attachment, thus eliminating the need to drill into that beautiful front bumper. Does anybody know the website that I can find this on?

Thanks everybody, I'm lovin the car. Only a few weeks old and am allready pushin 2000 miles. Man that break in period is tough. I'm workin on the pics, but I'm slightly computer illiterate so I'm having a tough time (Sorry) My wife definately rocks, she went to the dealer herself, and even managed to get a decent discount! So hot! Thanks for the welcome guys and gals, this really is a great forum!

The license plate holder is made by Larry from www.moweraxle.com. I've installed it in my car about 3 months ago and I love it. No holes in the bumper.

i live near mulholland, off of laurel canyon.
i occasionally drive around on sundays with my friend who has a c4s cab, it would be great to have another person join.

btw justin, i never thought i would put on the front license plate, got away with it for 1 year then got 2 tickets in W hollywood in 1 week, i dont know about the the looks of the tow hook mount but maybe you can shape the plate to fit somewhere in the bumper. here is a pic of what I did

raffi, the way you mounted your plate looks really good. Mabey I'll have to see that in person! My new place is on Mulholland right between Nichols Canyon and Wrightwood drive, so I bet we're pretty close. Currently my wife and I are building a new house on the property, so for the time being we are actually living at another one of our houses off Outpost canyon, but we hope to be in the mulholland house within a year.... two at most I guess it all depends on the Mulholland Scenic View Corridor Comitee.

Anyways I'm rambling, I would love to go on some canyon runs, Just let me know!

You really don't want to block the center duct since the car came with the X51 option,--there is an active duct there. The mount system that uses the towing hole is pretty feeble if you ask me...
