    next Audi S8 to have Lambo's V10 but Bi-turbo with 600HP?

    I just spoke to a friend of mine, he just took delivery of a CLK55AMG but now he is first in line for Spain for the next S8 when it comes out to replace his current S8. He said the it will be getting a Bi-turbo V10 with 600HP instead of the V12 of the normal A8 6.0. I would think it would get a tweaked version of the V8 Bi-turbo from the RS6 instead.

    Has anyone heard anything more about this? I'm gessing it will be the Gallardo's V10 with twin-turbos since the engine was entirely made by Audi for the Gallardo. The same one that was shown with the Nuvoulari and Le Mans concept cars, a V10-Bi-Turbo and 610HP.

    That would really piss me off: buying an Italian supercar with a big V10 with 500 horses and then having to learn, that the company not only uses the same engine in their limos but with an extra 100 hp and twin turbo charger.

    I'm not sure if Audi/VW will do that, but I fear it will happen.

    Personally this doesn't bother me at all, just makes more competition for the E60 M5. I look forward to seeing what Audi will do with it's future S and RS cars, I think they will get the steering right this time. The steering on the new A8 is a lot like other Audi's but is suprisingly good enough for me! I guess because this is a large car. As far as I know the new A6 will use Servotronic steering(can anyone share their experience with it?) I'll be sure to check this next S8 when it hits dealers sometime next year!

    the twin turbos I WANT THEM on my Gallardo!

    Is it true that there will be a A8 Avant ???? and if this is true i presume that there will be a s8 Avant with the same enginge right ?

    That S8 Avant would be a MUCH better alternative to any SUV (even Cayenne Turbo)!

    I don't really believe that there is a market for an upscale wagon in the so called "D" class. Great idea, but you have no customers???

    There will be an Avant of the A8 for sure. Got this information from an Audi insider.

    We shouldn't forget that a few years back ..... our favorite brand was making the world's fastest station wagon with nice red brake callipers .... That was a hell of a car back then ....
