Jason, I knew that is was GT Silver too, after all of the cars and photos that I have seen in the last two weeks!!
The color looks great..... although I am happy that I went with Artic. With the flash of the camera, it makes the interior almost look grey.
What is the standard finish on the Adaptive Sports seats if you don't get leather, aluminum or painted to match the exterior?
You must be getting excited now... I know that your Turbo will be built the week of Sept. 14th. I am really anxious to see how long it takes from the build date until it arrives at your dealer.

We've hijacked this thread haven't we? 
The standard finish for non-aluminum-look pieces is something called "Krylon" (sp?) finish. Doesn't look very good if you ask me. Porsche charges an arm and a leg to have certain pieces painted. Basically, every piece that's not designated as standard aluminum-look is painted Krylon grey which includes the back of those adaptive sports seats.
You bet, I'm excited about my Turbo being built fairly soon! I called my dealership earlier today to see if the build date changed and nope, its still the same. They think that my car will arrive sometime in November. On average it takes about a week to build each car and approximately 30-45 days to ship to Seattle.

W211, congrats on your car (I "know" you from MBworld - I'm cte430). I sold my K2 E55 for my 997S and my E55 would have eaten it and spit it out in a drag. Guess what car I much prefer to drive? Not even close. The 997 is such a better drivers car it's laughable.
I saw your comment about the noise level elsewhere and commented that most people think the TT is too quiet!
I think you'll be surprised by it's comfort as well. I've taken my car on several 500 mile round trip drives and it is no less comfortable than my E55 was. the seats are awesome and the driving position is great. You will not become fatigued driving this car for long stretches.
I hopeful i'll be ordering my TT this time next year.

Why did you sell the E55? You could have dumped north of $30k in useless mods (think VRUS) and had a car that was functional for 3 months out of the year

No thanks. I took a bath on my K2 car - that was enough!! I think i've re-thought the whole mod thing.
The E55 was not my daily driver and figured if I was going to have an extra car it may as well be a sports car. Never owned a pcar and thought i'd give it a try. I'm sold.

Thanks Chris, sure I remember you from the MB forum! Weren't you the guy who installed the V1 in the rear view mirrow of the E55? Have you done the same for the Porsche?
I haven't even installed the V1 or LidarTek on the TT.
While I can be a rather aggressive driver in a rush, usually when I drive slowly, I try not to attract so much attention. Small price to pay considering it's speed and handling.
Yeah, my problem is that my 997TT is fast becoming my daily driver. It's just extremely enjoyable at all speed. It's so nice not having to step on the brakes when I turn even at high speed. It brings a smile to my face at every 90 degree turn.
It handles just so much better than the other cars I have owned (W210 E55, W211 E55, R230 SL500, E65 750Li.)

Yep, that was me. Did the same thing to the Porsche. Now I just have to stop staring at TT pictures!
Another indication of how great this car is to drive is this. As I mentioned this is not my daily driver yet in a little over 5 months i've racked up over 9,500 miles on it!
