    I like this car.... I'll have it over the Vantage anyday.......I know most will disagree though

    This car actually looks very good in person. I wasn't into the new look at first, but a couple days ago I managed to stop by the Jaguar dealer and had a closer look at one they had parked outside. I must say, my negative opinions about this car quickly vanished. IMHO this car doesn't differ that much from the high end Aston Martin. This is one of those cars you just have to see up close in person to really enjoy.

    For me the AMV8 is prettier...but to drive I don't know.The XKR has more power, but I am making comparison with the AMV8, not the RS or S version, whatever it name, the Vantage VANTAGE would destroy this XKR.AM promissed 450bhp+ to the Vantage VANTAGE.

    I like the Jag except for the front Taurus lights and the lines of the front bumper where it meets the hood.

    The XK is a car that you have to see in person. I think it photographs OK but it really seems to move you in person. I test drove the XK and it didn't thrill me like say a 911 but it was very, very nice.

    In my opinion the XK is better looking than the 911 or the Vantage, but not quite better looking than the DB9. Although to it's credit, the Jag coupe has a wonderful hatchback where the DB9 doesn't. Still, the lights, both front and rear, are nicer on the DB9 than the XK.

    Here is the real problem (solver), the DB9 cost twice as much. I hate it when I read comments from pre-pubesent pimple face kids that write mind numbing comments like, "I'll take the DB9 over the XK any day". Well, no sh1t! But the world doesn't work like that or we would all be driving exotics. I also don't like it when they write that the BMW 650 is "better" beause it has more horsepower. Again, that isn't the sole criteria for evaluating a car or we'd all have 1000 bhp cars. The BMW is but-freakin ugly.

    Sorry for the rant but the Jag XK deserves a closer look and the XKR even more so.
    I'm currently looking for a new car and while I thought I decided on the Carrera S, the XKR has stalled my decision at least until its' release in December.

    Thats what i notice from the pics I have seen. The earlier models had a better look inside. I still wouldn't mind test driving one, but I doubt I would consider buying one.

    As far as exterior looks go it acn't hold a candle to the Vantage

    Maybe, but the Vantage base price starts $35,000 more than the XK. and $24,000 more than the XKR which will outperform the Vantage.

    Plus someone on this board said a friend of his had a Vantage and had a horible experience with problems.

    Is it ugly or beauty, is it fast or not, an option for carrera or not. I passed these questions

    There is a truth imo ,that car is improved so much compared to its old one.

    Taurus lights, taurus-- OLD engine and shabby interior.

    Sorry guys, I don't like it. It's not a good jag... and it certainly isn't of the quality of an Aston. Even if they did basically use the same body.

    I saw the standard XK in person a while back. It was when they where released over here.... A coupe and Convrt and they were both silver and looked absolutely gorgeous in the sun next to the beach. This should look even better with its more aggressive details.

    Thats what I think at least
