    Porsche at Le Mans in 2006?

    Does anyone know more about Porsche's intention to return to international motor sports? I read they are planning an official return to Le Mans in 2006 with a centrally mounted V8 car? Would that be a derivative of the Cayenne motor or a completely new development?

    That's the first I've heard of it. I haven't heard of any prototypes in development. In fact, the CGT was developed from a Le Mans prototype that they took off the boards when the rules changed.

    Would love to see it, though!

    well, considering that a lot of engineers at the audi stand were in fact from porsche, why not?:D

    When Audi wins Lemans 16 times then maybe.

    Last I remember reading Porsche was to return 2005. Hopefully we'll hear of their racing program later in the year. I'm sure they have a few race design projects in the works. If they want to save some money they have a LMP2k under covers and a GT1-98 itching for a V10 fitting.
