    Cayenne S MY2004 or 2005?!?

    Hi guys

    Yesterday i changed the order of my Cayenne 3.2 for a Cayenne S..

    In Italy you must wait a lot for a 3.2 and i haven't a lot of time becouse next week i take ride of my 4.7 Grand Cherokee and i stay only with my 996 Turbo

    My dealer said me that i can have a S for may production,June delivery..

    What i must do?take this or wait June/July for a MY2005??

    Dealer said no change for MY2005...but someone know if is true??

    I heard that a panorama roof (targa style) might be aviable as an option. Not sure though

    i think you should take the 05 model,i did the same,better wait a few weeks more.my porsche dealer told me the 05 model will in any case not be worse.

    Hi Dario,

    I have only heard of the possible panorama roof and that's not for sure. Actually, probably not available at the beginning of the model year but maybe later. Otherwise nothing more significant than option combinations and maybe some new colors.

    There is the issue though of depreciation expense. If you wait for the 2005 model you will be a year ahead on that.

    That close to a model change, take the 2005 model.
    Unless your dealer is willing to give you a substantial rebate on the 2004 model but I actually doubt it.

    My dealer make me a good price on a MY2004 delivery end of may,early June...

    I need the car as soon as possible...

    I don't know what to do...

    If the change are not big,i prefer to have the MY2004...

    In Italy no one know that the Cayenne MY change in June and not in August...i think that this for a resale value is not so important..

    What to do??

    Dario, it depends on how good the offer is. There are always (hidden) changes from one MY to another, so I usually recommend waiting for the next MY if the waiting time isn't that long. However, I heard that some fixes and changes have been already applied after the christmas vacation closedown, so the new MY shouldn't really bring something very new and very updated. There is no design change, there is no raise in power, so you might want to go for MY 2004 if you want your "S" as fast as possible.
    Anyway, there is ONE option which is a MUST if you order the "S": do NOT order it without air suspension! And you might also want to add at least 19'' wheels.

    But does it have air suspension? The air suspension provides half of the fun of owning a Cayenne.

    yea mine doesnt have it either but I just lowered it by 30mm with the Techart spring, handles much better, I feel that its more comfortable too.

    I completely agree RC! It is such a distinctive feature of the Cayenne, I think it should be standard equipment on all models.

    I don't know ,I 've known a person from Piacenza that is an owner of a Cayenne TT and a 996 TT cabrio (he spoke about 360 modena) at the porschedriving school in Imola last october . he likes cars and watches (AP alinghi?) .

    i remember very well your cayenne ,mine is arriving in late may .

    i'll be in imola at 1 april ....for an other driving course (police has my driving licence for this month,so i only drive on track : poor me!)
