OK, so let's see you trying to focus your eyes on where you are, as Nick is currently imploring you to do!

    Oh, OK.

I'll try to keep it short.

The reference to "sensory overload" was included in Nick's "motto" at the bottom of each of his posts on rennteam a little while ago. I think it was his way of explaining how he got into his current condition.

His current rennteam forum motto is: "Focus your eyes where you want to go, not where you don't want to go or where you are". This always amuses me because it conjures up a mental image of Nick trying to focus his eyes on where he is, resulting in his eyes getting crossed and him getting so disoriented that he falls face-first into a cup of Starbucks' Megagrande Mockamocca.

Hence my suggestion that you try to follow Nick's advice and see if you can "focus your eyes on where you are" - physically impossible in my view.

On the other, just forget it instead.

Time for a new motto again, Nick.

Seems that F's primitive safety systems/combustibility are relatively consistent across model range...and consistent w/traditions of great F's of prior decades...

Just another measure to maintain exclusivity and thereby reduce depreciation?

    Perhaps....

At least in US, the cust (presuming he makes it out of car safely and isn't stupid enough to play wkend firefighter wannabe w/his designer, leather-wrapped, bespoke deviated-stitched fire extinguisher ) will get mkt value insurance payoff (so he'll make a few bucks for his troubles and roadside embarrassment ).....and if he's a major repeat F buyer, his dealer will get him a replacement F built ASAP, bumping some cash/clout-poor non-VIP cust a few more yrs back from ever getting 430/599 (or actually their successor models ).....

    Re: F430 Fire

    Is that a warranty item?

    Re: F430 Fire

It was destined to be Ferrari red.

    Re: F430 Fire

This fire brings up an interesting question....does the insurance company pay-off on the complete loss, or does Ferrari replace the car under warranty, due to a "defect" in the car??

    Same here

These pictures look kinda unreal to me, like some CGI F/X in a Bruckheimer movie.

Reminds me of Porsches during the 70s except back them it was the fuel lines always leaking fuel.

Insurance pays the loss and if there is a strong case they would try to recover from Ferrari.

    Re: F430 Fire

How is possible a thing like that???
