Yes, so what? 
For me, the benefit is that I do not have to put the whole sum on the table and I can "play" around with the "saved" money (stock market, buy more merchandise for my business, etc.). Also no risk after the lease ends, I leave the car on the dealer's parking lot, give him the key and I'm done. No worries about resale value, bla bla bla. Usually, I even get money back because I do not use up the full 30k km I leased the car for but sometimes.
Would I save more money if I would buy the car? Of course. However, I can afford to drive cars I would usually not be able to afford to buy without moving some financials around.

They usually do (over here) but I have no desire in buying a car (most of the time).

Lukas:Anyone who know what green color this is? Quite rare!
In those pics it looks a lot like the signal green which was used on 924s in the late 1970s. (I had one as my first Porsche).
IIRC, the name "signal green" was later used again for another slightly different shade on 911s.

you can run a lease program and get a lot of volume through it , hence a discount, but cash deals just wouldn't kick out any volume as there are so few cash buyers out there.
throw in a related party finance company and you get to make money on both sides of the deal.

KresoF1:Power Kit X51 is available for order from now. First deliveries February 2017 for EU.
450ps, new, bigger chargers, new ducts for brakes cooling, PSE and SC+ included.
9996,00€ in Germany with Mwst.
Good to know, was about time. 
0-200 kph time improved by exactly one second as far as I heard.
Price is OK considering that SC+ and PSE are included.

Maybe a 991.2 4S with X51 is a good family fun car for weekends 
It should be pretty quick around a track too with wobbly rear-wheel steering, PDCC and -20mm sport suspension.

That's a big premium and a lot of coin for some shitty backseats.
It's cheaper to own a 488 than it is to own a C4S after you take into account the 50K haircut the 911 takes after one year.

(Yes, I know it is going to depreciate like a lead ballon, but it is a hell of a USEFUL sports car)

Not here in Switzerland. The Ferraris seem to take the same hit. Given the starting price you will loose more with a new Ferrari.
488 new price CHF 337k, one year old going for CHF 239k. Boom! 
The insurance, tax and service cost is certainly far lower for the C4S.

I specd one and ended at 161K € with full drive goodies and Sport Design Package. A lot?
Yes and no. And still for the 488 GTB money you can have fully specd 991.2 C4S Coupe and new Q5 3.0 TDI in full specs. A wiser and more socially acceptable choice as well.

Remembers me of my last meet with a good family friend, she is an ecological nightmare (in the sense that she is very very green in everything she does and she really believes in it) and when she saw my R8 for the very first time, I kind of apologized to her that this car has a "big V10 engine". Her very surprising answer was: "At least it isn't a Diesel." 
She sold the family Tiguan a couple of weeks after the scandal started, she owns now a Mini Countryman (fuel engine).
Back to topic: I configured myself a 991.2 C4 S Cabriolet with Powerkit. Nothing fancy, just the must have options incl. PDCC, AWS, black painted wheels, carbon, Burmester, etc.. 175k EUR. My C4 GTS Cab was 163k EUR. The Coupe would be probably 12k EUR cheaper, so around 163k EUR. Still a lot of money if you ask me but true, the 991.2 Carrera S with powerkit would be fast as hell. For similar money, you can get a 991.1 Turbo S with low mileage though.

Plenty of cars when you back out the imaginary idea of being at the track more than a few times per year and being unwilling to swap road tires for actual track tires.

Well, when I see bluelines name listed on Fastestlaps.com, I'll re-evaluate my position. Until then, I maintain you'll get 99% of the C4S experience in that new RS3 in Switzerland.
Am I the only one who thinks 150K is a bit steep to look at the interior of a Boxster and the exterior of 911?
