    thanks so much for posting the pics! appreciate it! finally get LED's... though i must admit the shape hasn't quite grabbed me yet -- but i do like the redesigned front and rear bumpers!

    I really like it, actually I liked it from the older pictures that appeared in the forum some time ago. I think the front bumper looks so much better than the one that it is now. And the rear looks really fresh... For me it is really cool!

    Not just the new style, but there will be some performance enhancements too. Sad to miss out on those - price shouldn't be much higher and your resale value will be better too...

    can imagine that... if you look at the 996 mk1 and 996 mk2 now, I would rather have the mk2. Think it is going to be the same with the 997

    If you can be patient, with the 997 MkII you may get 997S performance for 997 money

    Or, you'll be able to buy a 997S MKI for 997MkI money when they try to clear inventory before the facelifts arrive...

    Hey, there's no reason to suffer during the wait. Buy yourself something fun in the meantime that won't depreciate (like a 95-98 993 or 87-89 Carrera for instance).

    I have a MY 03 and am agonizing over the temptation to upgrade to the current 997. You can get big discounts on the 06s now, but my gut says wait. I read 08 will be an early release....spring/summer 07.
    I am hopeful of hp and other tech upgrades beside the bumpers.
    In the meantime my 996 is still fun.

    MY08 makes sense with a mid-07 release.
    I don't know why people think it will be
    MY09.
    the 996 update was after 3 years here in the states MY2002

    i actually think the pic looks good with the turn signals covered --
    i personally wish they could integrate the signals into the headlines and just have a round/ovalish headlight IMHO.

    The separate lights were a throw back to the 993 look. I am patiently waiting for more info.
