    Re: Facelift

I like the idea of having the sport button but the little wart just looked weird to me...

    Re: Facelift

What wart? am I missing something? :P

    Re: Facelift

The wart is the clock on top of the dashboard of the sport chrono package.

    Yes.

    Re: Facelift

I like the wart and hope that they do not do away with it.

    Re: Facelift

I dont like the wart and would definatly pay extra not have it on top of my dash!

    Re: Facelift

    I love it personally :P

    Then buy a GT2 .

    Re: Facelift

I think the interior of the car looks balanced without the wart. It definitely is a blemish that the car can do without. I think it would be cool if it was implemented into the multimedia screen unless a person does not have that then there must be a way it could be more cohesive.

    Re: Facelift

They need to release the facelift already, if for no other reason than so this thread can die.

    Re: Facelift

    And the 4th pic:

    Greetings

    Re: Facelift

uh-oh, seems like I have that old disease again: first I hate the new porsche design, and after a while it starts to grow on me. Next step might be that I even like it! Don't know what is happening to me!

    Re: Facelift

So have they also added a washer to the rear wiper ? look at the top centre of the back glass....

Well, I guess it's a very popular disease...

    Great!

The new rear light look better with wide ass like the TT and RS. In those pics, the rear light look a bit too long.

Damn it, just release the car please! Can't wait!

I'm thinking that that's a satallite radio antenna.

    Re: Facelift

Wipers.... I hear people have the most excellent results with the Ditec glass conservation. Almost eliminates the need for wipers altogether. I'll try it this spring.

    Sry about the OT.

    Rod Antenna

    Brilliant!

As pointed out in an earlier post, every new model introduction initially faces a bit of resistance as people overcome the comfort of the familiar. So Porsche's solution is this drawn-out new model introduction process, with calculated spy shot leaks. Brilliant!

In any case, it is working for me. I initially thought the original 997 design was cleaner and better. But now, I'm looking forward to the facelifted version.

    Re: Brilliant!

I'm guessing that the current 997 used car price will drop some more after the facelift release.

    Re: Brilliant!

You are 100% Correct. Every car depreciates more and more each year regardless of facelift or not. Porsches are no exception. The facelift ( visually ) is small and wont crush the value of the current 997. Most dont know the difference.

Yes, the used C2S will become less expensive, once the MkII is released (many people will trade-up for the newer model).

    Re: Brilliant!

I would try and buy the car now at the lowest point possible...Why wait to enjoy yourself..

    Re: Brilliant!

This MkII is a 2009? So is it like a late October release in the US?

    Re: Brilliant!

little photoshop.. it looks like 993

    Looks nice with no lights.
Yep, they are stickers (made to look like the current 997 lamp assembly)....but of course, it's easy to see the actual (smaller) face lift lamp assembly....it was easier to see on earlier pics.
