Re: Latest Facelift News
I have 3 kids (5-8) and my Cayenne is the family car- it was an awesome replacement for a minivan. It was a blast driving from NY to Dayton for vacation (with room enough for all).
I was buying a 2002 996 C2 when my wife reminded me we'd have to take the 911 and our Audi everywhere if I wanted to drive a Porsche that wasn't a Cayenne.
That said, 3rd row seats are not very safe unless you are talking about a suburban- the third row is in the crumple zone, and there are no regulations for third row seating safety. Do I, the guy with 3 kids and an 85lb Boxer want a bigger Cayenne? No way!
I have stuck my beast dog in the back for a few short trips, but ultimately it is a Porsche, and third rows don't belong in a Porsche. I checked out the Q7 and it's nice, but it's not- would you want to climb over stuff and sit back there on a regular basis?
And then there's the beauty, what an awesome looking vehicle- I sure hope Porsche doesn't succumb to converting the pepper into a bus.
