Ordering a Turbo! Options question...

I'm taking the plunge and ordering a 997 Turbo today!

Here's what I have for the options:
249 Tiptronic S (I've been a manual guy but change is good

640 Sports Chrono
56 Cobalt Blue
TG Sand Beige Leather
P01L Adaptive Sport Seats
342 Heated seats
672 Extended Naviagtion Module
It's a short list but I'm trying to keep it simple.

Do the adaptive sport seats give you less headroom than the standard seats? I wouldn't think they would but sometimes adding more power seat motors they have to mount the seat higher.

I currently drive an '00 C4 with the RoW M030 sport suspension. Can anyone comment on the ride of the 997 Turbo in Sport mode compared to my current suspension?

Phone module - that's a good idea. Painted rocker panels? What do you get if you don't have the painted rocker panels?

Might consider a Bi-color interior. Black on top, in order to help prevent reflections.

I would get the Phone module, and Multi Function St Wheel.I also ordered Cobalt Blue with Nat Leather. Did the dealer give you an indication about delivery time?

My guess is, if you order PRP you'd get nice flat shine-y paint instead of the coarse rust-proofing-type finish that's on my non-PRP 997S.

You get the black plastic sills painted to match the color of the car.

If one orders the PRP does that also mean the front bumper lip is painted as well.

extended nav doesn't get you much, but then again it is a cheap option. Definitely get the phone module. I personally like sports seat painted exterior color. Not many other cars give you an option like that.

Nope, just the side are painted, front is black.

Guys, thank you all for your input. I got to see what the PRP painted/unpainted looks like and you had it right; about 2" of black plastic at the very bottom sides and front. MMD, you are correct, the C4S is the same as the Turbo.

He said he thought he could get it in January, which really surprised me.

What about the sportshifter? That would be a MUST-HAVE!

I have pictures of a Cobalt blue 996TT with blue sports seats somewhere. If I find them, I'll post them.

Yes, my saleman suggested I get the sportshifter as well, until I reminded him that I was going for the Tip. Still, it might add something to the experience if they could get it to fit...

You cannot get a sport shifter with tiptronic, The sport shifter option means that shift throws in the manual tranny are reduced 15%.

Shorter steering-wheel buttron travel. Can't waste any microseconds on that.

i really liked the tip i had in a previous porsche. tip was not available at the time for my launch code tt, or i would have gotten it for sure. now with the benefit of some miles with the 6spd, sports shifter, i'm glad i didn't. the 6spd. for me is just, well..fun

imo drive them both if possible before deciding
