    Seems like a lot of overkill for what is essentially, just a long drive. People make this trip all the time in econoboxes and on motorcycles.

    Having a million support personal for a simple cross country drive does not speak very well for Ferrari's reliability.

    IMO it's a brilliant PR move for F and the 599 and I'll look forward to them coming through LA.....

    i don't remember how many support vehicles brock yates and kirk white had on the cannonball.

    Umm, its not cross country, its cross continent. Read it again. Much of South america is not exactly well paved.
