    I denounce the new Bugatti Veyron

    Ok I really tried to like it for performance reasons.

    There are two of these beasts for sale at a dealer in the USA now and when you see the body panel fit you will run to a Chevrolet dealer to see craftsmanship!

    Jim, do you have a link to technical data? I'm interested in number/type of airbags, fluid capacities, engineering innovations in construction, etc.

    Even if the panel fit is bad, I have to admit, I still really like the way it looks. I'd never ever buy one, it's insanely expensive, but I think it's an amazing piece of engineering and I have to appreciate it for that.

    Damn, I'd be hesitant to go 400kmh with gaps like that...

    Were similar problems present on both vehicles at that dealer?

    Maybe the panel gaps were part of its sophisticated aero package.

    Part of a sophisticated "air brake" system.

    Sorry guys to disappoint you, but the front bonnet it is build like that "on top of the front fenders" to let the hot air escape from the front radiators. This is what they have told me when I have asked them at the Geneva Motor Show, and later I have seen the same thing on an article in the Car magazine. It is not a failure but because the overheating that the car has always they need any possible gap just to let the hot air out.

    Ed, Look at the last pic again I think. It shows the hood shut line you mentioned- but with a elliptical gap. If the shut lines were consistent I could tolerate it - but as it is - it looks like a fitment error.
