Prob difficult to make much money flipping a commoditized, utilitarian car like 997TT 
Easy to source off-the-rack/near-term build spot 997TT (w/deminimus fee) via brokers from P of Podunk or from one of the large FL/AZ P dealers from which brokers often source cars....
And those who are price/fee-conscious (and yet eager to get an early copy) could have been first on the many then-blank waitlists for 997TT@MSRP as recently as 12-18 mos ago in out-of-the-way places like SF....all for a fully refundable ?<$5K deposit....
Many repeat Turbo buyers were offered launch cars@MSRP (and many seemed to pass) and have instead spec'd early 997TT to their tastes....
More interesting spec game to observe will be 599....$125K premium for early copies, which will have near $300K stickers....let's see how long premium lasts on 599, w/?150/yr sales into US, for a car that's allegedly as daily-usable/low-profile as a 997TT/CL63, yet a poss interesting wkend twisties car as well....599 could be the first modern F12 (ex-Enzo) w/decent resale value....

When I asked my dealer last week he told me that they haven't had the huge reception for the 997TT that they were expecting.
He said when 996TT came out they couldn't even keep people off the phone for rquests and so forth but with the intro of 997TT they don't see the HOT demand they saw for 996TT.
Of course this is due to economical situtaion too.

It also has to do with the fact that the 996TT followed the still exotic 993TT.
The 997TT is following the not-so-exotic 996TT.
Porsche wants to saturate the market... so be it.
