    Upgrade my 997 Cab or buy a new 07/08 997 Cab or 997S Cab

    OK,
    There are a few things I would like to add to my current 06 997. I would love to have PSE, carbon steering wheel, carbon gear shifter, and Sat Radio (if it ever comes out). If I was ordering a new one I would also add TPMS, park sensors, and maybe X51. The question is should I keep my current car the way it is and just order a new one with all the options I want or upgrade my current car?

    If you are not worried about a slight depreciation on your 06', I'd say go for the 07'. It's nice having the car you want, with all the options you want .

    Porsche LOVES people like you! One advantage that I had when ordering my car is having had several Porsche sports cars before. You will take a hit selling the 06 this quickly so you have to decide whether all those things are truly worth it if you order another car. Since you indicate an interest in the X51 option I am guessing that funding isn't a big issue for you. In that case, dump the 06 and then order the 07 like you should have in 2006. dan

    You are correct. Porsche does like the crazy ones like me. Most likely I will wait for the 08 model before doing anything too crazy. The X51 would be nice but once I start adding everything up a 997S Cab with X51 is getting very close to a 997TT The problem with the 997TT is it is not a drop top (Cab) and I don't even want to think what that would cost. Most likely I will add a few options to my current car and wait a few years before getting another one. Like you said I will take a huge hit when I try to trade

    btsew you could at least add the carbon pieces, after market exhaust and tuning, and get the Cayenne Satellite kit to hold you off.

    With those mods you could probably hold off till 2008
