    Look who I met...

    ...on my way to the Rennteam Summer party around Stuttgart area, Mr. Ruf personally. He showed his thumb up to me after a few acceleration runs. From aprox. 90 kph to 190 kph, he moved ahead half a car length and I had additional weight onboard, my wife (60 kg). At a speed over 220 kph, he started to pull away strongly, at 300 kph on the speedo, he was already aprox. 100 m ahead of me. It was a RT12.

    Great cars,

    Both his AND yours. I believe the RT12 can be ordered for up to 650 peak HP/870Nm peak torque (I think the engine goes under quite a bit of re-building), good for a top speed of 219mph/353kph. It uses KKK TT's, so 0-100kph times might be slower than yours, but at the top end, boy, that RUF keeps pulling. In short, pretty cool pair of 911Turbo's.

    They were probably drinking and marveling over each other's watches and mobile phones, in place of everything else. Wait until they sober up and realize they forgot to do the shootout .

    Awesome! RT12 is a beast. I should be at Ruf-Automobile for our annual concours/tour of the facility July 8th. Alois Ruf is a very humble person and welcomes anyone to his facility...of course I don't have the funds to treat the 987S to a 3.8 w/ power kit swap.

    this RUF = 650HP ? so much stronger than TT ?

    Mike: you shouldn't say that... 60kg is a slim/healthy body weight.

    BTW, I rely on your marvelous V1. It has saved me and earned its cost many times over
