Hi all, this week my third horn is gone, factory one and a replacement last month and now the new one!!! Knowing that I do not use much.. very strang .. anybody with the same issue ?
When the dealer replaces thee horn, be sure they check two things: (1) When the horn button is depressed that the proper voltage is going to the horn (2) With the horn button NOT depressed there is no voltage to the horn.
Perhaps There's two or three different horns (which all sound the same) for the car and the dealer ordered the wrong one. (electronically different? see below)
Maybe there's a short AND the horn fuse isn't blowing therefore the horn get's burned out; but that doesn't quite make sense since it's a new horn... .
The most frightening thing: the horn's circuitry has ALSO been computerized/electronic-ized and now all bets are off trying to figure out what's wrong. Please God no but perhaps the dreaded PCM unit might have something to do with it? AWWWGGH!!!
hi guys.. thanks for the tips and the jokes !! one more thing I forgot this third time not the whole horn is gone but went very low.. guess one of them,,, The funny part is: To replace the horn the front bumber must be REMOVED a day work at OPC.... !
