    Autocar 0-100-0 times!

    New Autocar out today contains an artical on 0-100-0 times with the Veyron at centre stage!

    Some very interesting times, especially fom the 997 turbo. This one was a manual but had the SC option.

    Of particular note I think is the G force compare on the right, check the G the Veyron throws under acceleration! Madness.. Although would love to see the same for the 911 as this actually hits 30mph even faster than the Veyron!

    Wouldn't you think that auto journalists would have to understand enough physics to know that "g" is not an unit of "pressure"?

    Someone reported in another thread a Ultima GTR720 making 0-100-0 in 9.4 secs, that would be second place...

    What a joke test. It make you wonder about the "reaction time" of their timing equipment.

    I say have Fritz interrogate them!

    interesting...i dont get it, the vetron gives more G than skydiving??

    Looks to me like they made a mistake on the total time for the Veyron...5.5 plus 3.4 is 8.9 not 9.9. Just half a second slower than the A1 GP. Good grief.

    slightly off topic; can anybody help me with high resolution pics of those wireframe sideviews? I love them, and would like to have some of porsche models... anybody?
    (I mean the silhouette pics of the cars shown on the right side of the bar in the posted pic)

    The 3.4 braking time is a misprint. It should be 4.2

    Notice how the 3.4 is in a longer box than the 3.4 above it. The 9.9 is correct.

    well since it seems that autocar didn't factor in the reaction times for some of their results, the below chart factors them in

    Judging by all the mistakes in this test report, Autocar must have outsourced it to the guys who did the Quattroruote report currently being discussed in another thread.
