    Excuse my ignorance but is this a front or midengine car? Undoubtly it has a certain visual appeal which will turn many heads.

    Magnetic Ride Control feature standard with optional adjustments. First dealers and importers preview of real car in August! No cellphones, cameras or so... There will be over 50 security guys on secret location in Germany.
    But, pics will be on rennteam few days after...
    Two gearbox options and 4.2L 420hp engine first. Acceleration? 0-100km/h: 4.3s and 0-200km/h. 13.#s, I already gave too much info...
    Pics and dealer's guide will be around 1st August in selected rennteam members email boxes(PM one day before)!

    Does anyone else suspect that the back half may be clever camouflage? There seems to be such a divide along the rear edge of the doors up across the roofline. With the slighly sunken back hatch/window area, I'm wondering if this is a cleverly designed "cover" hiding the real body just beneath?

    All along, this car has remained fairly unchanged through pretty public prototype testing. Just wondering if Audi is trying to throw everyone off a bit.

    I like it. The only downside is it is not a convertible.

    My question is where does this car fit into the marketing scheme? Who are its competitors? Certainly not the TT, 430 or Gallardo. If it is the 997S, AM, MB S65, BMW 6 series than it is going after a rather crowded field.

    Undoubtly, there is a uniqueness in style about the car which is alluring.

    It may be trying to compete with 997s,AM,MB,BMW, with the 420 hp engine, but with the 520 hp V10 i how can it not compete with 997tt,430,Gallardo?

    New quattro drive-derivated from Gallardo's(better to say combination of RS4 and Gallardo's).
    Manual and sequential gearbox(redesigned e.gear system).

    Hi Kreso,

    thanks for all the info, it's really appreciated. I'm a fan of this car as I saw the Le Mans live two years ago. And as the owner of an elderly 996tt i think of this car as a nice alternative for the future. let's hope they show some constraint on weight and price.
    The 420 hp version should have the same perfornaces as the 997gt3 with the bonus of a sequential gearshift for approx 100000. that is approx 30% less than a decently equipped Porsche. If this happens, I'm in!
