    Did anybody order the 997 Turbo WITHOUT Sport Chrono?

    Just curious???!

    One of the two 997TT launch cars of my local dealer was manual without SC. There seem to be customers who are not thinking before ordering their car

    Believe all US launch cars were manual, but most seemed to lack LSD, though most had SC...most were pre-spec'd by PCNA/dealer....

    Perhaps they should offer a more logically consistent option package w/manual/no SC/no LSD/supple leather/wood package/multifunc wheel.....

    Whoever ordered a 997 Turbo without Sport Chrono will have a heavy depreciation in value because sooner or later the word gets around regarding the overboost... Apparently even now interested customers think that the Sport Chrono Package on the Turbo is the same as on the Carrera.

    correct, my dealer spec ordered my car 95% the way I would have, fortunately with sc, he indicated dealers had the opportunity to order a tt any way they wanted.some dealers didn't bother to order one for inventory. apparently previous launch cars were all a couple of colors with similar options. best of all my car after spending 3 days at the dealer is headed to it's new home, where it's anxiously awaited to say the least...i guess now instead of spending to much time on line with tt activities i can stand on the front lawn.

    The Turbo should have SC as a standard ... the ugly wart should be the option. Some people might even pay extra to have it removed.

    The one intro turbo here is a TIP without Sport Chrono.

    Plenty of people hate the way that chrono thing sits on the dash like an uninvited guest. I wouldn't dismiss a turbo that doesn't have it.

    Yeah, you have to have the uninvited guest on the Turbo (or you lose performance), but on the GT3, you can get rid of it without losing any performance...
