    That's what exctaly came to my mind, it look like an ice sculpture that is melting down.

    What's up with all those lines and wierd curves, the new generation designers must be on crack or something.

    It's too fuzzy IMO
    There's too much going on, especially in the side profile. Yes it looks like something Bangle would come up with

    It should have beautiful clean lines - like this car

    Mercedes marketers seem so affected by internet Bangle-bashing that they are retreating to " safe harbor " by hiring all of the designers who worked on the 1990s bland Toyota/Lexus models .
    The "new" S-class is so anonymous/similar to prev one that I'm forced to look for the new rear tail lights as my only hint ( esp on darker colors where the SUV-like wheel arches aren't as obvious ).

    Yeah, they couldn't fire him without admitting the poor designs he had produced, so Promotion to upper management was the next best solution

    It is the opposite. Other car manufacturers are copying his design work. A couple of car magazines have elevated his work to icon status.

    Its not beautiful, but it does have character. Also it will appeal to those wanting a more sporty S class.

    you know what. the pics surely dont do the car justice.

    this would hands down definately be my car if i was say 50+. its so different and at the end of the day its a cl. no other car from any other competitor is on its level. not even the 6 series. it has no competition.

    With other rims and in black, it will look fantastic.
    Much better design than the S Class. Or lets say, the ass is less bangalised than the S Class.

    Suspect a blk/blk CL65 will look no uglier than a blk/blk 599 w/CCM....

    Doubt most jaded/serial buyers of CL's (or 599's) care much about styling anyway...after all, it's just a daily commuter car for many affluent non-car-oriented guys in Woodside/Greenwich/London....respectable, low-key brand/fast/safe/plenty of advcd infotainment&comfort sys/27gall fuel tank/usable backseat&trunk

    As a 20-something yo, would get new CL every yr (and would get endless flack from my perplexed 30-something yo bosses )...but now as a 30-something curmudgeon, I can't deal w/the sloppy steering/brake pedal feel/isolationism of CLs (or any other non-P/F's for that matter)...
