I had a 20BHP remap with Super chips for just over Pounds300, just before my drive last Tuesday to Le Man.
Car performed much better; you can really feel the performance hike.
There based in St Albans and they do not remove the ECU, which I think DMS do, that's something I wasn't comfortable with.
The original map is kept on archive and can be reloaded at any time for a nominal charge.
Also Super chips have been recommended to me by many other North London Porsche and Ferrari owners.

Thanks for the enquiry. We specialize in the ECU remapping side of tuning because we tend to steer towards stealth upgrades which will not effect manufacturers warranty by remaining undetectable. Therefore I am obviously going to advocate this route coupled to the fact it is the cheapest way to obtain more useable power reliably. We increase power and torque by around 24-26 BHP and 18-20 lb/ft. Cost Pounds850+vat and the work can be carried out at your location.
We've got one of not the most advanced and accurate rolling roads in Europe but it really isn't necessary when upgrading the 997S. There is also a lot of 'mystique' created by some which is totally unnecessary. We have four engineers who just specialise in the software applications to vehicles and these are out and about not just in the UK but Europe, Far East and the Middle East. Because of this our equipment is state of the art and extremely portable, hence we are able to come to you.
Porsche will always leave so much in reserve to allow for face lift upgrades etc and even new model launches. They also recognise that people want to 'customize' their cars without causing damage. There are so many things that go on behind the scene.

I find that surprising, my car seems a lot faster and hits the rev limit much faster?
Regarding traceability; removing the ECU (which is was DMS does) really worries me, I prefer a simple diagnostic plug in at the passenger foot well....spoke to dealer and have been told that this is not traceable..

A re-map may give you 20 hp more at a given rpm but usually not at peak hp. This is still very useful...probably more useful as long as it's still within the rpm range when shifting at redline. The 5 hp increase may be at peak. You need to evaluate and compare both hp & torque curves to understand the full improvement.
