No, resident experts claim Porsche will NEVER allow SC retrofits.
If you don;t like the wart, apparently you can easily remove the wart, stuff the clock into the dash and have a custom-made leather patch made for the dash.
Order SC and you won't regret having it; especially if you can make the wart gone.

Why would you not like the clock? It is the single most appreciated interior-gadget by any passenger so far in my 997S - "Oooh, what is that thing on the dashboard?"... and then you give a long explanation of the wonderful timer with a quick counting demo.
It is useless, but has got a high "wow-factor"

Haven't you checked out our recommendation for Sport Chrono in many many posts because it isn't possible to retrofit it?

The other point of view is it's a total poser thing since it's not a clock; it's a stopwatch meant for timing laps at the race track.
It's a little presumptuous to have to explain that and then admit that you've never been on a race track AND Porsche will void your warrenty if you race the car.
It's presumptuousness bothers me because it is in-your-face on the dash; kinda like like futon-shaped botoxed lips and big fake boobs.

I have to admit that I would be just as happy without the "chrono" part,...but I wouldn't want to be without the "sports" and "plus" parts.
I usually drive in non-sport mode but I do enjoy the sport throttle map when I'm having 'fun' - I know it doesn't make the car faster but it makes the car more FUN.
As for the "plus" part - I like the ability to program the DRL and wipers,...I mean, this stuff should be standard on a 100K USD car!

Agree 100%. Nevertheless, who needs PITA dilemmas like that? I'd like to verbally abuse the marketing guy who insisted on the wart-ified dash.
