    Nice photos !!!

The 2004 photos are very nice Warren. You have quite an eye!

Will there be a write-up to go with it ?

    Stephen

    Re: Nice photos !!!

I would love to do a write-up of the 2004 trip, but the problem is that there's little new to say. It was the same journey as 2003, every bit as spectacular and enjoyable. I'm really glad these forums gave me the opportunity to share my passion for the experience with other Porsche enthusiasts.

Regarding the pictures, photography has long been somewhat of a hobby. Unfortunately I only had a cheapo little Sony U10 camera with me, so the pictures are rather grainy. A pity.

    Very nice pictures, don't worry.

If you need a tiny little camera with a very good picture quality, get the SONY DSC-T1. I just got one and I love it. Picture quality is absolutely great for a point-and-shoot digital cam, size is unbelievable for a 5 Megapix cam, flash works pretty well too in dark areas (red eye is still a problem), speed is also impressive for such a little prosumer cam and with a 512 MB Memory Stick Pro Duo, you can put almost 200 high quality pics on it. And the best part: it has a video function (30 fps) and the quality (with sound) is absolutely stunning, especially if you want to post a video on the internet.
Highly recommendable! Of course I also use my Canon EOS 1D and 300D but the SONY T1 goes with me almost everywhere.

    Re: Nice photos !!!

RC - i just checked out that DSC-T1 and damn does it make me angry

i just bought a DSC-P10 for $500 and a few months ago, and now, this smaller, same megapixel, camera With a carl zeis lens comes out,

    grrr i hate planned obsolesence....

    Planned obsolesence

It isn't planned obsolesnce. They're simply improving these things by leaps and bounds every day. I think it is great! I love the incredible rate of improvement which means that we get ever better and better digital cameras.

I'm using the Sony DSC-V1 now. Bigger but I like it because of the incredible flexability of the camera. I also carry it everywhere but it isn't as small as the T1 so I always need to think about it.

Before I had the Sony I was using a basic Fuji camera. And damn, I still got some nice photos with it. It is amazing what can be done with even the most basic tools.

There is only one problem, Stephen: I love new gizmos (incl. digital cameras) and my wife already had that angry look ("another one, don't you have enough?") on her face when she found out that I got a new digital cam. Thanks god I got the T1 as a gift from somebody.

Unfortunately, the rate of development on women is much slower!

You really know what sucks most? My wife always complaints when I bring home something new, no matter if it is a new computer, camera, TV or whatever. Now guess who starts to use this stuff too later on?
Sometimes I think that women have some kind of "nag gene"...nag nag nag nag nag... Or as Al Bundy said once: women just don't like it to see us men happy.
