Yeah, we know, only a Veyron could come close...
...just in fuel consumption
Well, from 120 to 180 kph, the F430 was at the same level and I had the kids, my wife and luggage with me.
Don't understimate the magic of excessive torque and power, especially in certain speed ranges.
A car magazine has tested the Cayenne Turbo Powerkit at 19.3 seconds from 0-200 kph. Now take away the throttle lag from standstill and you get more of a 18.3 seconds time. Again: from STANDSTILL with a fully fueled car. The fuel tank has 100 litres.
Now take away around 70 litres and forget about acceleration from standstill, you come close to the performance of 0-200 kph in around 17 seconds compared to other cars in the same range. I know it is difficult to understand what I want to say but a M3 is definetely no "threat" for the Cayenne Turbo Powerkit, especially not from 30 to 180 kph. On my "kill list" is also a Corvette C06 (new model, manual), same situation with almost empty fuel tank in the 80 to 210 kph speed range.
I saw enough frustrated sportscar driver faces while driving my Cayenne Turbo Powerkit, so please don't consider my claims to be crazy because I really know what I'm talking about. As soon as the Cayenne Turbo Powerkit is moving and with an almost empty fuel tank, it is an impressive performer.
To zzboba: I can prove it to you anytime when you finally come visit me.
Regarding the M3 driver: I'd say he can drive pretty well but he is no Walter Röhrl of course.
