    How old are Turbo drivers?

    "Customers for the GT3 are looking for a car they can drive during the week and race on weekends," the managing director of Porsche Cars Australia, Michael Winkler, says.
    "Most GT3 owners buy a white car, so they can put numbers and stickers on it."
    "Turbo owners are a little older and are looking for an everyday car. Something they can drive without any fuss but which really goes when they are in the mood."

    I could have bought my first turbo (a 930 in those days) when I was in my late twenties. I didn't do it then. I bought a 928, instead.

    My dealer at that time told me there were two kinds of Porsche drivers; those that liked to look at them and those that liked to drive them. Which one was I?

    I told him that I liked to drive them and he said I should buy the 928 instead of a 930. He said that around one third of the 930s he had sold ended up crashing on winding rural roads by leaving the tarmac back-end first. He told me that the 928 was a much better "driver's car".

    I waited until the 993TT to buy my first 911 turbo.

    62 with 2002 rturbo with new rt12 engine, 1st porsche, 23 in 1966 and 1st turbo 34 in 1977.

    Bought my first Porsche when I was 25 in 1967, first turbo in 1976, and 996TT in 2001 when I was 59. I am now 63, and expect a 997TT when I am 64 next year.

    Yikes, time passes! But my passion for Porsches has always stayed the same...

    62. Waiting for my 1st Porsche since the 60's. My 997T will arrive in June. Drove super stock iron then. Hope the wait is worth it!

    45 for the 997tt and bought my first porsche, but non-turbo at 40.I needed to see what all the fuss was about with the preowned cars before I took the plunge. Well this will be my third and I suspect I am a convert did I say 45..I meant 18...I bet that makes me the youngest

    993ttS much better than normal 993tt but cant compare with a 996tt - only if you put X73 and chip the engine (to say the least). Otherwise the first feeling when getting the 996tt after the 993ttS was quite . However when my 996tt got some "improvements" there was absolutely no comparison.
