Yesterday I had my tubi-style exhaust fitted to my 987 Boxster S buy Scuderia Systems in Egham.
I was disappointed with the standard exhaust on the car and wanted more noise. I looked around at a number of options and they were either very expensive or from companies who I had never heard of. I saw a request on pistonheads.com from Manu at Scuderia asking for anyone with a Boxster S who was willing to be the first person to have one fitted in the UK. I jumped at the chance!
The noise is amazing from the exhaust, at low revs it has a very deep sound this talis off at about 3500rpm and then above 4000rpm builds to a nice scream. Really great sound that the Boxster S should have made from the factory. Massive improvement and gives the car a proper sports car soundtrack!
The system is just the back box, no cat replacement at all. They have also left the standard tailpipes on. On the motorway it is not any more noisy than standard as the noise tails off around 3000-4000rpm. It is a little boomy at low revs with the roof up so today around town I did find myself driving 1 gear lower than I used to just to prevent some booming.
