Next to 918 the Carrera GT still looks so fresh and it´s the best engine sound of the three by far. Every time I hear this clip I just smile

Even the 959 looks fresh and I love the paint color. Bodes well for how the 918 look will age!

I could not agree more. The CGT is the best sounding car on the planet. Driving it with the sound behind your head is glorious.
"A man wrapped up in himself makes for a very small bundle."
As it happens, my R8 has a V10 as well.
Also, my car is louder than my friend's CGT, believe it or not. Stock. And faster. And easier to drive. Not that cool though.

I would smuggle people just to afford the CGT one day. NOTHING ever has, or ever will be close to it. period.

noone1:R8 louder than CGT? Were you in your R8 with the windows up?
We do a drive together almost every weekend and both cars are stock.
CR also has a CGT for years now. Great sound but the new R8 is definitely louder, especially in the lower rev range. When the CGT screams, it is pretty loud but so is the R8, believe it or not. Slightly different tone though (CGT sound is a higher pitch scream, while the R8 is more of a deeper trumpet style tone sound).
Again...stock. Can't say much about modded cars and many CGT owners modded their exhaust (for a reason ).

I would actually prefer the 918. The CGT is a great car but not easy to drive fast.

noone1:CGT also happens to be kinda underwhelming in design. Pretty plain. That's why I never got one. Even when they were like $280K, I just didn't think it was a good looking car.
That's what I like about the CGT. That design will never get old, It has perfect lines.
On the other hand, the Enzo is not aging that well IMO. Ugly as sin.

Yeah, I thought about the same thing this morning. The F40, and F50 will always look good IMHO, but they went too far with the Enzo design, so It seems to be stuck forever in 2002.

Let me desagree, I think the Enzo looks great and to this day perfectly fresh and stunning.

I'm not sad, I listen to the CGT almost every weekend (I posted a photo of me driving in my GTS with my CGT buddy next to me a while ago on Rennteam) in spring/summer (not winter though). Believe it or not but it isn't as loud as many think here. Those very loud CGT have modded exhaust systems.

Christian, louder doesn´t mean better, far from it. The original CGT exhaust is more than enought for my ears regarding loudness, it´s the perfect balance. On which thread is your picture?

With Ferraris it usually: if you don't like the design yet - wait for another 10 years Few Ferraris from the past are not looking great from today's vantage point. It seems unlikely the Enzo will make an exception to the rule

100% agree - the CGT sound is so special no other car can match it And surely not a current production sports car

IMO the Enzos design is very purposeful and has a lot of character , but a pretty car it has never been. I've never liked it, from the moment it was launched.

Couldn't agree any more. The Enzo is a super car and still looks fresh. As most Ferrari age very badly, the F40 & Enzo stayed young. The F50 aged bad - looks the least attractive of all. Let's see how the LaFerrari will handle aging!
CGT with straight pipes sounds orgasmic, stock is good only when pushed hard.
It has 5 flaws
- Clutch Operation
- Ground Clearance
- Limited Tire Choice
- Soft Ride
- Weight
The only thing that beats the CGT's V10 is an Italian V12 + Zonda R

The problem with the Enzo is, red isn't the right color choice unlike the rest of Ferrari's.

What an AMAZING set of pics Unbelievable how the Enzo still looks so good next to LaFerrari. And I agree with Lars, look at how old the F50 looks next to Enzo, still, I never liked the F50 even when it came out.
Again thanks for this pics, the blue/camel Enzo looks unique, this must the only Enzo with this combo, absolutely stunning.

So I am not the only weirdo that likes the Enzo the best!
I think it's the best looking Ferrari, it's design is purposeful and stood the test of time, unlike the old 'classic' melted butter shapes of the likes of 250, 275, 330, etc, those just looks dated and old. It doesn't matter how many trillions they are worth, they are just plain ugly.
F40 looks old also , but it's iconic, F50 is the unloved child among the 5 Ferrari hypercar for some reason.
CGT also stood the test of time, it's more than 10 years old but it doesn't look that way.
