    Orrrr... Turbo S Targa?

    Two possibilities (there were rumors before...): 911 Turbo S Targa or 911 Turbo S special edition with 600 hp and special edition interior and some exterior goodies. I heard these rumors before but after the 911 R, I was pretty sure that Porsche is going to offer the Speedster with the same tech. Probably too expensive. Smiley

    Hm, special addition sounds most "Porsche like"; they'll tickle the engine a bit, throw on some Exclusive department stuff, design a special wing or put on some items of the RS and... Presto!

    Regarding the Targa; we've seen the appearance of the trubo targa in the teaser vid of the original 991 targa, but after that... nothing. And the part in the teaser was only a rendering, never the real thing. Also, I think the body of the turbo -though resembling the non-turbo 991- might be a different part alltogether (thus making the turbo targa less likely).

    Either turbo targa or something lame like the 918 edition turbo that 918 buyers were able to buy which was essentially just a turbo s.

    0-200 kph in under 9 seconds (8.x something) was the last info I heard. Maybe they should bring it closer to under 8 seconds (McLaren 720S) but it may be too late for that. PDK only, true. Power figure: 650 hp (latest rumor, can still change). Weight? 30 kg more than 991.1 GT3 RS. Base price around 250k EUR...so far.

    No GT2.rs i keep my R and wait the 991.2 RS i'm a NA nostalgic :) (i sold in october my GT3 RS )

    How different do you find the RS compared to the R ?

    The R is more fun on road, the gearbox is a pleasure and the lightweight flywheel give a more response engine and "more" hard rev ;) The sound is different more sound in interior and a different exhaust note in exterior. This car feel more light than the RS in curve and mountain attack. I prefer the RS for track and the R for fun road ;) Porsche give a character to this car a real personality. This car is for driver like drive (seems like a 993 RS feeling)

    Very nice car!

    When I drove the R alongside my GT4, it didn't feel like a modern GT car. Your point of a 993 RS feeling is very accurate. A car on its own.

    First it was 700, then suddenly 670, a while ago 650 and now again more. Smiley

    I'd say the 720S and it's price tag in Germany (247k EUR) has kind of startled them, same goes to the Huracan Performante track performance (not that they didn't know before what ALA is capable of...). The GT2 RS testcars were doing slightly over 7 minutes on the Nordschleife, there certainly is a bit more potential here.

    It is going to be interesting...
